From a Testimony to a Table

Today wasn’t planned. At least, not by me.

It began like any other Saturday—I clocked into work. But something tugged on me. Gene McGuire was speaking in Fort Worth, and I knew I needed to hear his story more than I needed a paycheck. So I left. Sometimes you just know.

I grabbed breakfast at Sweetie Pie’s Ribeyes and listened to Gene’s powerful testimony of transformation and redemption, straight out of the pages of his book, Unshackled. He shared how he found Christ behind bars and what real freedom looks like. I walked out with a signed copy and a picture with Gene, but more than that—I left with a stirring in my spirit.

Still off the clock, I made a stop in Arlington to return a rented musical instrument and, as always, wandered into Barnes & Noble. At a display table, I spotted The Manifestation Journal. Next to me, a woman was browsing, and something told me to speak.

Her name was Rosie, visiting from Pennsylvania to teach DOT and EPA regulations. One comment about prompted journaling led to an invite to coffee, a conversation about writing, and a story I needed to hear. Rosie is 16 years my senior and the author of Saint John Lennon. My copy is already on its way.

What stood out most wasn’t just the book or the talk—it was the feeling that all of this was led. Something greater aligned each step.

I didn’t just follow a calling today—I acted on it. I became a verb.

I didn’t wish. I moved. I showed up.

Thank you, Gene. Thank you, Rosie.

To anyone reading this—

What are you manifesting?

Think it.

Believe it.

Then go do the things it takes to see it happen.
