☕️ The Discipline to Decide

“Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.”
—Abraham Lincoln (attributed)

The discipline of decision-making is like being in Vegas and using your flight-home money to gamble—hoping to win it back.

It’s risky.
It’s the ultimate sacrifice of pride.

But the decision to decide?
That’s masculine.
That’s mature.

I knew I was growing the moment this kind of choice began to matter—especially in the routines of everyday life.

Planning for the unknown has taught me patience… and fear.
Not the kind that stops you—but the kind that shapes you.

The fear of timing.
The fear of responsibility.
The healthy kind of fear.

Over coffee this morning, that lesson became a journal entry—because my desire to pursue higher education just got real.

What’s on your mind over coffee today?

Be a coffee bean.
