The Power of Language

The Power of Language

No formal training in typing. No English major. No Shakespeare. Wasn’t even good at book reports. As technology surfaced in the ’80s and ‘90s, I didn’t even respect proper enunciation or grammar in texting.

To be honest, I haven’t given much energy or time to putting communication first — for anything. Especially relationships.

Writing songs, poetry, and books. Writing more on a laptop, and even an old-school typewriter, has made me appreciate language.

Now, going into business for myself, communicating, language, and writing are key. Planning. Organization. Research. And now… prompting. Prompting is the new value: understanding the most information in the fewest characters.

I type and write by hand with proper grammar. I text with proper grammar — unless I make an honest mistake.

The English language is historically rich and chaotic. EVERYTHING is data. Everything is information.

Law.

History.

Science.

Medicine.

Education.

And more…

I have a deep respect for grammar and language. I love math too, but that’s another story!
